Operations ManagerOur client, a growing 3PL is currently searching for 2 Operations Managers to join their team in the Vaughan/Concord area. These are newly created roles!Responsibilities:Maintain and improve 'Safety Comes First' culture, enforce policies for workplace safety, implement safety measures, procedures, systemsOversee operations of our warehousing facilities, manage the flow and quality of work in the warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and minimize overtimeDrive cost improvement activities by identifying system improvements, inventory management, headcount optimization, and improved square footage utilizationWork closely with the Inventory Control team to ensure that cycle counts, spot counts and yearly wall-to-wall inventory counts are conducted on time and following all related SOPsLead internal process improvements to optimize picking, packing, put-away and shipment processes. Continue to develop Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that all warehouse operations comply to SOPsWork closely with Planning and Transportation Teams to ensure a balanced and smooth operationPartner with temporary staffing agencies to support high peak periods and demands and set clear and measurable objectives for the teamMaintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsManage and own warehouse operations budgetSkills and Requirements:The Ideal candidate will have a strong background and proven track record in managing the Warehousing operation, including:5+ years of people management and/or leadership experience is requiredTrack record of building efficient teams with strong work ethics, leadership skills and the ability to confidently lead people through change in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced knowledge of Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems, SAP and RF Pathways experience Strong interpersonal skills, proven problem solver, solutions orientated and a self-starterProven ability to effectively lead projects with a strong attention to detail, organized and strategic approachProven track record of coaching, training, and managing teams. Detailed oriented ability to multi-taskRelevant education in supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering or equivalent work experience in managing warehouse operations is an asset
