Our expectations: Acts as the primary contact for customers regarding information pertaining to deliveries. Maintains contact with drivers to ensure deliveries are completed and assists with problems. Your role includes: Advises sales staff on ability to provide requested delivery services including delivery time/date, product placement, etc… Provides quotes for delivery service outside of delivery zones and “carry in” service. Contacts customer and/or responds to customer inquiries regarding delivery information. Maintains contact with drivers and updates computer upon completion of each delivery. Notes any problems encountered for tracking purposes. Adjusts orders as instructed by salesperson and/or customer including material substitutions, add-ons, and order cancellations. Ensures are adjusts are completed promptly. Signs in drivers and ensures payments have been processed through the cash. Matches paperwork, documents changes and files in the appropriate location. Performs other job-related duties as required. The qualifications we are looking for: Excellent communication skills are required to clearly convey information over the telephone and handle customer complaints in a prompt and effective manner. A sense of urgency and flexibility is required to deal with a variety of miscellaneous situations that arise. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including a two-way radio, computer terminal, fax machine, and photocopier. Position requires the ability to work under pressure and respond to multiple and immediate priorities. Position requires an ability to concentrate in a distracting and noisy work environment.
