Job Description

The Director of Supply Chainwill be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our supply chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products/services to our customers. This position will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering strategic supplier relationships, and implementing best practices to enhance overall supply chain performance.Key Responsibilities:Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers to enhance supply levels, ensuring timely and accurate materials procurement.Strategically plan and replenish inventory based on customer forecasts and demands, finding a balance between maximizing inventory turnover and meeting customer requirements.Analyze customer demand, stock levels, and product supply to ensure the availability of the right products across the distribution network, initiating necessary stock movements.Optimize inbound and outbound transportation using various modes, such as truckload and ocean/intermodal, while managing third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.Oversee multiple warehouses, optimizing the planning of material and labor resources to meet customer demand.Actively seek and implement cost reduction opportunities in freight and service providers.Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure optimal cost and operational performance.Minimize and mitigate slow-moving and obsolete inventory through periodic reviews and disposition.Provide leadership to the supply chain team, supporting individual development, managing performance, and fostering continuous improvement.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.8-10 years of experience in supply chain administration within a distribution environment.APICS certification is preferred.Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP tools (SAP/Oracle preferred).Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Problem-solving skills required.Occasional travel will be required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
