DIRECTOR, REGIONAL SALES, HA

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr. VP, Home Appliances & Home Electronics, the Director, Regional Sales will develop and implement a business development strategy that aligns with the organization's overall vision. This position will lead, direct, and control all business development activities to meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives as they relate to the Home Appliances division for the Western Region. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of the company's customer relationships within the region, providing leadership and coordination of the sales and marketing strategy, ensuring attainment of all volume quotas and meeting/exceeding profit objectives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES LEADERSHIP

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage complex or strategically important business opportunities that will contribute to the organization’s short and long-term goals for the region.
  • Evaluate the findings of market research or analysis projects, assess the viability of alternative opportunities, and present recommendations to top executives.
  • Establish high-level, significant relationships with potential clients, partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to promote the organization’s home appliance products.
  • Engage with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the organization’s business interests.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established sales and business development goals.
  • Ensure ongoing partnership, client satisfaction and more importantly, provide new solutions and ideas to clients in order to differentiate LG appliances from other players in the market.
  • Oversee all aspects of company’s interaction with accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.

KNOWLDEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 15 years industry experience in a sales role
  • Experience with national key account management in home appliances with large retailers is required
  • Excellent relationship skills with both customers and internal colleagues
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen and thought leadership in the following areas: sales, marketing, operations, finance, account P&L
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
