Job Description

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES
1. Lead Regional Team to achieve the Commercial objectives for STAAR in their designated Region
2. Lead execution of promotional and marketing programs in their designated Region
3. Maintain and develop key account relationships. Provide leadership and guidance to Key Account Team in their area
4. Assist in the creation and implementation of sales programs, sales force incentives, sales forecasts and budgets
5. Perform field visits with Commercial Team for promotion and sales of STAAR products.
6. Co-Manage Practice Development and Clinical Application.
7. Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of personnel for assigned Region
8. Train and work to improve the sales techniques of Commercial Team in the Region
9. Develop sales strategies to build underperforming territories.
10. Active participation and provide feedback to Senior Management on market dynamics affecting the field and products.
11. Monitor sales performance of the sales force, compare to potential market share and demographics.
12. Manage expenses for assigned Region
13. Monitor and ensure compliance with internal control, quality, and compliance policies and procedures
14. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. Post graduate degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE
• 10+ year’s sales experience; previous experience/knowledge of medical devices is highly desirable; ophthalmology background preferred.
• Demonstrated history of consistent successful sales and management achievements.

SKILLS
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent English and French writing and reading required.
• Able to build credibility and relationships at the manager level.
• Strong work ethic demonstrated by ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to attend off-site trade shows, courses, sales meetings and training sessions.
