Position Overview

Join our innovative team as the Director, Programs, where you'll lead with vision and purpose to drive IAF’s success in delivering exceptional client services and impactful programs. In this pivotal role, you'll prioritize program objectives, streamline activities, and ensure the seamless execution of client-based initiatives. You'll be the linchpin in coordinating resources and collaborating across departments to support both new and ongoing programs. This position is hybrid working out of IAF’s Victoria office. It is a full-time position with some overtime and after-hours work as required. The salary range is $110,000-$120,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct IAF-delivered programs to ensure effective and efficient program delivery, client service and resource utilization
  • Working with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), oversee the management of program budgets to ensure effective and compliant use of funds and provide feedback on future budget improvements and/or development of budget structures for new programs and initiatives
  • Working with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and in collaboration with the Leadership Team, develop program-related strategies, plans, and policies and ensure compliance with IAF’s organizational policies and practices
  • Lead managers and coordinators associated with program delivery and client service to ensure alignment of team objectives with organization priorities
  • Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to establish strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and quantitative plans
  • Support and mentor team members in attaining goals and objectives

What You Will Bring

  • Degree in public/business administration, management, project management or other related field; Masters preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at the director or senior management level, preferably in a non-profit or program-based organization (equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered)
  • Strong funder-relations experience including working directly with all levels of government and other public-private organizations
  • Clear understanding of data and systems management
  • Senior-level leadership and communication skills that allow collaboration both internally and with external stakeholders
  • Solid experience in supervision and management of medium-sized teams with a mix of organizational responsibilities
