Our prestigious client is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to join their team. Reporting directly to the GM, the Director of Operations will manage all technical and operational aspects to ensure seamless day-to-day activities and the highest level of service. This role involves strategic collaboration with the Senior Leadership team to develop long-term operational strategies and manage an annual operating budget.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including facilities, groundskeeping, housekeeping, shipping & receiving, engineering, member services & security, and signage. Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure the financial health of the Operations department by monitoring operating and capital budgets, setting financial goals, and implementing cost controls. Approve bi-weekly payroll and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Manage procurement, asset management, and capital planning. Oversee staffing and scheduling, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including Workers Compensation Act, Safety Standards Act, and Health Act.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and management of the operations team. Mentor and coach staff to meet high service standards. Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and provide strategic updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure exceptional service for members and guests, addressing their needs promptly and professionally. Use feedback to enhance departmental operations and member satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in managerial roles within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in managing complex operations and large teams.
  • Strong project and financial management skills.
  • Reliable transportation is an asset due to the location.
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search.
