At Petro-Techna, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineering, sales, and procurement teams at our head office in North York, Ontario as well as team members across the globe.Role Overview: Director of Finance will join the management team located in our Toronto office. The Director of Finance will oversee the corporate finances and lead a small team and work collaboratively with various department managers to track, monitor and analyze costs.The Director of Finance will report functionally to the CEO for execution of day-to-day duties.Key Responsibilities: Financial accounting and reportingDevelopment and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Create and present financial models to support/demonstrate company results and projections.Manage all treasury functions, cash projections, and borrowing.Prepare projections and strategic plans.Liaison with Key External stakeholders including Export Development Canada, Banking Partners, CRA, Foreign Tax Offices and External Accountants.Monitor key business financial metrics for senior management and business leads.Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports on financial matters as required.Lead, manage and mentor the accounting and finance team.Budget preparation Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the CEO and Board.Assist Project Managers with the preparation of budgets for funding applications Project management accounting.Project Management Accounting Maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports.Ensure that accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with contract agreements with funders.Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects Information technology.Job Qualifications: CPA qualification is an asset.10 plus years as a senior accountant, controller or similar role.Experience in project accounting and export financing.Job Competencies: Productive attitude towards collaborating with other departments and teams.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner.Eagerness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.How to Apply.We use an online application process which will assess your qualifications, traits, and culture fit, as well as your resume.  If you decide to apply we would like you to give us a short pitch on why you are perfect for us.  You will be asked to provide an impact statement – it is the first thing we will see, so here your chance to make an amazing first impression.The whole application should take about 5-10 minutes maximum to complete.
