Our client is looking for a Director of Finance who holds a designation with SAP experience, strong technical skills in U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS.
Responsibilities:
- On the Corporate Accounting side, responsible for the financial accounting and analysis related to joint revenue sharing arrangements, theatre maintenance revenue recognition, fixed and intangible assets, financing receivables, current expected credit losses, and leases.
- On the Payroll side, responsible for the financial accounting and analysis related to payroll and benefit transactions, as well as the Company's sales commission programs.
- Oversee the design and execution of the monthly financial close process in partnership with the Director of Financial Reporting with the goal of ensuring a timely and well-controlled process.
- In consultation with the Director of Internal Audit, ensure the effective design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting for all functional areas within the Assistant Controller's Organization.
Job Requirements:
- Professional Designation, CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- Strong technical skills in U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS
- SAP is a strong asset
- Experience in financial reporting and accounting operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a high level of integrity and ethical standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
