We are recruiting for a Director, Commercial Sales to establish a strongfootprint across Canada for Commercial Insurance Products. We areone of the largest independently owned and operated Third PartyAdministrator (TPA) and Broker in Canada, and fourth largest overall.Established in 2014, SCB is growing rapidly and looking for talentedindividuals to join our team.SCB is strongly represented in the Group Benefits market by professionaladvisors and consultants across Canada and now this is your opportunity tojoin the newest growth segment as we expand into the Commercial Insurancemarket.This is a fully remote role with the opportunity to work remote or outof one of our local offices if you prefer (Vancouver, BC; Red Deer, AB;Toronto, ON; or Halifax, NS). From time to time, you may be requested toattend meetings or functions within Canada or potentially outside ofCanada. Core Responsibilities (not limited to):· Play a key role in building the processes and controls for sales andservices of the new commercial lines. · Prospect and Customer engagement and development in the commercialline of business where your license permits.· Manage the entire sales process for your prospects, from initialcontact to closing deals and fostering long-term client relationships.· Understand client needs and present tailored solutions, effectivelydemonstrating the value of our insurance products and services.· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation anddelivery of solutions to clients meets with the requirements for theP&C line of business.· Collaborate with internal senior stakeholders to ensure that thecorrect infrastructure is in place to support the needs of the P&C lineof business.· Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and comply with allinternal policies and procedures.· Review client exposures, loss experience, current coverages, andrecommend appropriate products and services.· Keep organized records and tracking progress toward business goalsand quotas using Salesforce.· You will receive cross-selling leads from a variety of sources(BDR’s, Marketing, Partnerships), but will also be expected to generatenew business opportunities as well.To be successful in this role you will require:· CAIB and/or RIBO license required· Experience working with Canadian insurance carriers is preferred.· Minimum requirement of 5 years of insurance experience in commerciallines.· Experience working in a B2B sales environment with a multi-stagesales process.· Strong track-record of independently generating leads, qualifyingprospects, and closing deals.· Proficiency in utilizing Excel for data analysis and reporting.· Experience with EPIC, or other platforms for P&C, nice to have:Salesforce and Salesloft, or similar CRM and sales automation tools.Leverage Excel, Salesforce, and Salesloft to streamline your salesactivities, track progress, and optimize your performance.· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability tobuild rapport and establish trust with clients.· Self-motivated and target-driven, with a passion for exceeding salesgoals.· Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectivelyprioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Why Work for Sterling P&C?New line of business poised for rapid expansion provides you with theopportunity to carve out a sales niche within Sterling.Employee centric culture in a flat organization offering theopportunity to develop your career and expand the scope of your role andinfluence the direction our organization takes in the P&C line ofbusiness.Competitive salary, benefits, education/training support, unlimitedvacation, and GRRSP matching program.
