Pathways to Education Canada is looking for a dynamic and creative Director of Marketing and Communications to join our team.As the Director, you will lead a talented team in developing and implementing innovative marketing and communications strategies that elevate our brand, engage our stakeholders, and drive support for our programs.What You’ll DoEnsure optimized performance of website and digital marketing, by ensuring the team tracks and analyzes website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance. Use insights to optimize digital marketing strategies and improve ROI.Oversee the development and execution of a social media strategy to increase Pathways’ presence and engagement on social media platforms, ensuring compelling content to build a loyal following and drive traffic to Pathways’ website.Ensure Pathways develops and maintains relationships with media outlets, manages media inquiries, and coordinates press releases and media coverage.Position Pathways’ spokespeople as go-to experts for commentary and interviews.Oversee development of a digital marketing plan, and oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.Manage and enhance Pathways’ brand identity and ensure brand consistency across all communications channels.Develop and refine key brand messages that resonate with stakeholders, including donors, partners, students, and the public. Ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels.Develop and execute strategic marketing and communications plans aligned with Pathways’ mission and objectives.Lead internal communications for National Office staffWorking closely with the Programs teams, oversee communications plans to all Pathways Program Partners.Communicate the strategy to the leadership team and oversee implementation.Manage marketing and communication guidelines and policies.Manage, monitor and measure progress against strategy.Provide performance feedback to each direct report by implementing regular informal feedback sessions as well as formal performance reviews.Coach each staff member by creating and monitoring progress on agreed-to development plans.What You BringPost-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.8+ years Marketing and Communications experience at a Director level.Proven track record of developing, implementing and evaluating successful marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, branding, and communications strategies.Experience directing and evaluating external agencies.Strong marketing executional skills to increase ROI.Strategic business sense including the development and management of operational plans and budgets.Ability to project manage multiple initiatives at the same time.Excellent communications skills written and verbal.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.Ability to think strategically at both an organizational and operational level.Adaptable and willing to facilitate change.Experience in the non-profit sector and/or education sector is an asset.Passion to make an impact.Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.What We OfferAn exciting opportunity to be part of a leading not-for-profit dedicated to excellence and impact.A collaborative work environment with a culture of innovation.Opportunities for learning and professional development.Generous vacation and health benefits package.Group RRSP program.Join Our TeamIf you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through education, we want to hear from you.
