What we’re looking for

We are seeking a Director, Manufacturing Operations to join our team on a full-time and permanent basis. This position will be based at our Eastside Production Facility, located in Etobicoke, and requires on-site work 5 days a week. The Director oversees production operations, ensuring adherence to GMP, safety, quality, and KPIs. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this role manages several departments including compounding, sanitation, and filling, sets strategic goals, drives efficiency improvements, and ensures compliance with environmental regulations.

Key duties include budget management, risk mitigation, and collaboration with central support functions (HR, Finance, and Supply Chain). The role requires strong leadership to develop and manage teams, drive operational excellence, and support plant growth.

What you’d be doing in this role

  • SPOC (single point of contact) of the business regarding global inventory accuracy and integrity; contributing member of Plant Leadership Team
  • Oversee overall production operations of Eastside Facility with focus on GMP, safety, productivity, programs, procedures, and KPIs
  • Provide oversight for the operations team including Compounding, Filling, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Continuous Improvement; maintain strong connection to EH&S, production planning, supply chain, finance, Quality, and HR
  • Establish Eastside Operations strategy; build processes to enable readiness to meet company objectives and create structure and capacity for planned growth
  • Ensure plant performance and efficiencies align with company strategies and goals; maintain highest focus on quality and safety in all operations
  • Collaborate as a member of the plant leadership team; work with central support departments (Finance, Quality, Production Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, EH&S, Facilities)
  • Ensure design, execution, and effectiveness of controls within the role’s span; keep required documentation up to date
  • Identify and communicate control changes to the Global Process Owner (GPO) for review; update control design through the quarterly Control Design Assessment
  • Manage, train, mentor, and support the performance of all direct reports
  • Set clear, measurable objectives for the team; support development plans (IDP) for individuals

Skills and qualifications

  • 10+ years of people management and/or leadership experience
  • Proven experience applying Lean Six Sigma principles in manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, and general managerial practices; ability to operate under business principles, legal practices, and manufacturing operations
  • Strategic thinker with strong time management, ability to work under pressure, and manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated capability to operationalize Lean Six Sigma principles in manufacturing
