As a director of manufacturing operations, you will have to lead an organization comprising more than 700 unionized and non-unionized employees to carry out manufacturing and product assembly operations. having low repeatability and high diversity. Manufacturing operations include logistics, manufacturing, assembly and testing activities for various simulation products for our civil aviation and defense & security sectors.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control all daily production activities in order to achieve production, deadlines, quality and cost objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation of projects and programs aimed at improving productivity, quality and cost reduction.
  • Ensure the management and development of the team under his responsibility.
  • Ensure that the quality produced meets customer and company standards in all respects.
  • Develop capitalization projects and continuous improvement projects for the plant and monitor them.
  • Take the means at its disposal to adapt the factory to the manufacturing of new products.
  • Participate in the development and manage the occupational health and safety prevention program.
  • Ensure the maintenance and development of the mobilization of its entire organization.
  • Develop and maintain good collaboration with the company’s different departments and business units.
  • Maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Ensure the implementation of company programs, policies and procedures related to production activities.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for its operations.

Experiences required:

  • Have university degree in engineering or operations management or other relevant fields.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position, in a unionized environment.
  • Have experience in a diversified, low-volume production environment.
  • Be comfortable with continuous improvement methods, such as Kaizen and 6S.
  • Be comfortable with new 4.0 production technologies.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and be a good communicator.
  • Be results oriented.
  • Combined experience in SMEs and large companies.
  • Enjoy working with people, know how to recognize their contribution to the company's success and give them the support necessary to improve their performance.
  • Have a good tolerance for stress and change.
  • Be bilingual (French/English).
