Major Responsibilities: Lead departmental/organizational HR activities and collaboratively develop and implement programs that align with the agency’s strategic plan. Champion and support multiple employee initiatives and priorities. Coach/develop HR team, implement performance management, succession planning initiatives and change management strategies. Oversee department budget and analyze agency staffing costs. Lead or coordinate marketing and communication activities for two locations. Lead the administration and negotiation of collective agreements. Support the organization’s wellness and workplace safety programs and goals. Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and open communication. Ensure organizational compliance regarding regulations by implementing necessary policies, procedures, as well as oversee ongoing training and development. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices. Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to employees and the leadership teams. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Strong NFP Human Resources leadership experience. Proven success in enabling a positive labour relations environment. A strategic, accountable, business focused team player with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, coupled with a drive for innovation/efficiencies and a focus on an enhanced employee experience. A professional with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization. A respected coach, mentor, and change agent. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
