Director E-commerce and Digital Strategy

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing and E-commerce, you serve as thought leader in aligning digital marketing strategy with business goals and objectives. You act as a resource, advisor, mentor, and evangelist of all things digital. Collaborates with the VP Marketing & E-commerce and cross functionally to develop e-commerce strategy and plans in line with Brand objectives and overall business growth strategy, which delivers a 360-customer experience.

What you do:

  • In collaboration with VP Marketing & E-commerce, determines quantitative and qualitative objectives for web site and elaborates desired experience of web users.
  • Develops annual and long-term plans, sales, profitability and gross margin targets based on e-commerce metrics and marketing objectives. Is responsible for reaching those targets.
  • Working with media agency and/or internal media team, define measurement framework and digital metrics (e.g. site traffic, visitor paths, and conversion rates) to optimize online marketing spend.
  • Development, coaching and management of online subject matter experts
  • Regular meetings with teams to review results, provide recommendations for future improvements. Look for opportunities to leverage past successes and re-use technology.
  • Oversee the development, management, and optimization of the organic search practice. Ensure brands leverage search practice findings and recommendations.
  • Who you are:

    • University Degree in a field related to this position. Marketing, Business, e-commerce. Master’s degree an asset.
    • Bilingual French and English
    • Minimum 8years of e-commerce, digital or online marketing experience
    • Understanding of audience building strategies
    • Superior analytic skills, using performance data to optimize current campaigns and identify new opportunities, Experience of using web analytics packages such as Google Analytics essential.
    • Creative thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and oversee multiple projects at once
    • Experience leading multi-disciplinary team of high-performing individuals
