Reports To: Marketing Manager

Purpose of Position:

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing digital marketing strategies to enhance our online presence, drive customer engagement, and increase lead generation. You will work closely with the marketing team to create and manage digital campaigns across various platforms, analyze performance metrics, and optimize campaigns to achieve business goals and support existing small to medium sized consumers and dealers.

In this role, your contributions will directly impact Sterling’s growth and success. The expected results from your role include:

  • Enhanced search engine rankings for targeted keywords, resulting in increased organic traffic to Sterling’s website.
  • Improved brand awareness and engagement across social media platforms.
  • Higher volume of qualified leads generated through optimized digital marketing campaigns.
  • Increased conversion rates from digital channels, contributing to sales growth.
  • Successful planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns that meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Demonstrated improvement in campaign metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), cost-per-click (CPC), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Accurate and insightful analysis of digital marketing data, leading to actionable recommendations and strategic adjustments.
  • Regular reporting on campaign performance, providing clear visibility into the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Creation of compelling and relevant content that resonates with target audiences for small-medium dealers, industrial division clients, and direct -to-consumer segment, resulting in increased engagement and interaction.
  • Successful implementation of content strategies that drive traffic, enhance user experience, and support brand messaging.
  • Improved communication and engagement with customers through targeted email marketing campaigns and responsive social media interactions.
  • Higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty driven by effective digital marketing tactics.
  • Effective collaboration with the marketing team and other departments to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Contribution to a positive and innovative team environment, fostering continuous improvement and creative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration- Marketing Advanced Diploma or similar credential specialized in digital marketing
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and social media marketing
  • Proven experience working with Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills in online and in person environments
  • Knowledge with email marketing tools
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in French an asset
  • Valid full G drivers’ licence and willingness to drive on major highways
  • Travel as required

Activities and Tasks:

  • Plan, execute, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels (search engines, social media, email, and display advertising)
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives
  • Research of new target markets and companies within those markets
  • Develop engaging and relevant content for digital platforms, including website, blog, social media, and email newsletters
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing marketing materials
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize website content for search engines
  • Manage and optimize PPC campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns
  • Use data insights to recommend and implement improvements for future campaigns
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to customer inquiries and feedback in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the marketing team and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency
  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed to support digital marketing initiatives
  • Provide marketing support for sales representatives for small to medium sized dealers and customers on calls or through visits
  • Website maintenance of our content management system (CMS) by implementing copy writing, image development, new product updates, part number and price updates. Programming is not required.
  • Planning and coordinating promotions, events, information sessions and tradeshows
  • Monitor sales and marketing emails
  • Tasks as required by manager
