Job Title:Digital Marketing Specialist (Approximately 18-Month Contract)Department/Team: MarketingLocation: Markham, OntarioType of job: Full-time, PermanentStart Date:July 2024POSITION OVERVIEWWe have an immediate need for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team for an 18-month contract position. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a marketing automation expert to play a key role in empowering the marketing team to further its mission to drive engagement and improve sales conversions.You will be an integral member of our marketing team as you use your technical expertise, creativity, and modern digital marketing knowledge to develop engaging customer journeys, and experiment with new tactics to improve marketing automation performance and achieve better results over time. You will collaborate with all departments in the company and support business efforts to generate leads, nurture prospects, and increase channel engagement by promoting our high-value educational solutions for engineering education and research around the world.This role requires a results-oriented team player who thrives in an ever evolving, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have proven experience in marketing automation, data processes, website management, and implementing digital campaigns. Most importantly, you are passionate about leveraging your marketing skills to increase brand awareness and lead development to have a direct impact the bottom line.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:Serve as a principal email and marketing automation expert (Microsoft Dynamics Marketing) and be the go-to person for enhancing our in-house playbook of successful digital strategies.Create, design, execute and manage real-time and outbound marketing journeys/workflows on Dynamics Marketing, setting up email campaigns and reporting on performance.Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align marketing automation efforts with overall business goals and design/deploy the campaigns based on historical results, feedback, and A/B testing outcomes.Streamline marketing operations by automating repetitive tasks, improving workflows, and eliminating inefficiencies. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions to optimize resource allocation and maximize productivity.Leverage data insights to develop targeted messaging for automated campaigns focused on customer retention and loyalty, as well as upselling and cross-selling opportunities.Plan, setup, and maintain ongoing email programs, automated workflows, and triggered campaignsPerform ongoing data-driven analysis of existing efforts to deliver continuous optimization and improvement to best score and nurture leads and support the buyer journey from lead to the handoff with salesWork closely with CRM team on the integration and building of custom workflows for Microsoft Dynamics MarketingBe a supporting resource for web and website marketing, including search engine optimization, LinkedIn and YouTube marketingOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSTechnical Knowledge & SkillsPost-Secondary education in Marketing, Digital Media or related fields from a recognized institution2+ years in a B2B marketing role (preferred in an engineering, technology, or education related industry)Solid experience with managing data in a marketing automation platform integrated with a CRM system, including list segmentation and list loading (Microsoft Dynamics Marketing strongly preferred)Experience executing successful marketing campaigns aligned to customer journeysSolid knowledge of email best practices, deliverability best practices including CASL and GDPRKnowledge of email creative design, HTML/CSS coding for email, and familiarity with responsive design best practicesProficient knowledge of SEO, SEM, and analytics toolsStrong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Experience with WordPress considered an assetCompetencies & AttributesExcellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills are requiredWork well collaboratively, and has the ability manage cross-functional projects effectivelyMust be a team-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency with the ability to embrace and drive change with a “make it happen” attitude Flexible and adaptable; be willing to take on new challenges (new assignments, different roles, etc.) when the need arisesAbility to analyze current processes, to make recommendations and implement better practices, where appropriate; think outside the box and bring innovation to problem-solvingAbility to prioritize and multi-task in to complete numerous competing tasksDemonstrate role ownership and accountability; be a dedicated and responsible member of the teamOpen to feedback, and suggestions from co-workers, and supervisorAbility to both learn new tasks and train others as requiredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSQuanser has a team-oriented and technologically passionate culture, offering competitive salaries commensurate with experience level and a full group benefits package including Health, Dental and Vision coverage.
