Job Description

In this role you will act as the Digital Manufacturing Lead for the INNIO Waukesha - Welland Facility working with the operations and technical teams to build out the overall digital strategy for the site. Develop and execute detailed plans to deliver the right digital tools to maximize business output potential.Essential Responsibilities:Manage an ambitious 3-year Digital manufacturing growth plan while acting as the sole point of responsibility for developing, managing, reporting and executing on multiple digital projects throughout the facilityAnalyze manufacturing process workflows and assist with developing equipment connection strategies using various industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, Rest API, Profinet, etc.Collaborate with controls engineers and IT specialists in a team environment to deliver value-added solutionsIdentify opportunities for automation implementation and AI adoption to further enhance manufacturing process efficiencyDevelop strategies to automate machine/process control leveraging existing Andon and MES systemsSupport Q-case RCA investigations using digitally acquired data while optimizing data mining capabilities and data output configurationsDocument process changes by following established Management of Change policies & proceduresMaintain professional and technical knowledge by voluntarily attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, networking, participating in professional societies, and attending technology trade showsQualifications:Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Bachelor’s degree, or Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Science diploma (or equivalent) from an accredited college or universityMinimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering or related industrial experienceLean Six Sigma or equivalent trainingKnowledge of and practical experience with various PLC and control systems (Siemens, Fanuc, Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.)Solid understanding of Networking and Data CommunicationsKnowledgeable with SQDCM manufacturing principlesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with C/C++, Node Red, and various other industrial communication protocols (MQTT, Rest API, Profinet, etc.)Experience with Oracle ERP or similar software for managing process workflows and process data managementDesired Characteristics:Strong team player acting with a positive mindsetDemonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse activities simultaneously and succeed in a self-directed team environmentEffective problem solver with the ability to analyze machine control characteristics and develop appropriate solutions for equipment connectivityResults driven and accountable for own actionsStrong interpersonal, technical, organizational, oral, and written communication skillsAble to communicate effectively & confidently with both peers and members of senior leadershipContribute collaboratively to team projects while supporting the development of technical expertise within the manufacturing teamAt INNIO, we offeryouAn innovative and international connected working environmentFlexible working model and structureComprehensive benefits packageTuition reimbursementCompany matched RRSP programOnsite gym facilityAn upbeat atmosphere with a collaborative cross-functional team
