Digital Communications Lead – Permanent Full-TimeReporting to the Director of Communications, the Digital Communications Lead is responsible for spearheading internal and external communications initiatives, crafting engaging content through dynamic media (photos, videos, graphics), managing the intranet and external website, and providing comprehensive communications and events support.Responsibilities include:Collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate the hospital’s vision, strategic directions and progress on results.Produce engaging content for various communication platforms, including the website, intranet, community outreach, government, traditional and social media, annual reports, and employee communications.and enhance day-to-day website and intranet performance, functionality, and usability.and distribute key messages, speeches, presentations, media releases, and promotional materials.Develop targeted content across various social media channels (e.g., blog posts, tweets, status updates, photos, and videos) in collaboration with the communications team to support the overall web content strategy.Monitor and enhance day-to-day website and intranet performance, functionality, usability, and site enhancements.Proactively identify and address ongoing and emerging issues, developing strategic messages and utilizing appropriate media platforms to effectively reach target audiences.Research and maintain up-to-date media contact information.Manage and monitor communications support requests.Generate regular reports on communication metrics, including engagement rates, reach, sentiment analysis for social media, and media coverage analysis for traditional media strategies. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or similar discipline. Work or volunteer experience in the not-for-profit or health care sector an asset.Minimum two years related work experience in a strategic communications or marketing role.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in digital content creation, editing, and proofreading.Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, and creative design software including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Microsoft Office, Meltwater, Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite, Skilled storyteller adept at crafting engaging digital narratives, including interviewing patients and conveying care journeys effectively through various digital channels.Must be able to attend functions outside normal business hours, as required.
