Competition # 230-24-71445 Posting End Date: July 3, 2024 City: Winnipeg Work Location: MacCharles Department: Patient & Family Support Services Union: Non-Union Hiring Status: Term Anticipated Start and End Date: June 30, 2025 FTE: 0.5 Anticipated Shift: days Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Hourly Salary: $32.332, $33.438, $34.682, $35.938, $38.637, $40.163, $41.703, $43.297 Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Patient & Family Support Services, the Registered Dietitian is part of the Nutrition Services team and works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team. A person-centred model of care is used to provide outpatient medical nutrition therapy. The Registered Dietitian acts as a resource to CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) programs/ committees, including the Community Oncology Program (COP), develops and delivers educational programs to patients, families and staff, participates in research, and mentors dietetic interns. Activities may be provided at one or multiple CCMB sites.Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program Member of the College of Dietitians of Manitoba or other provincial RD college/ regulatory body Minimum 1 year experience in clinical dietetics Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary model of care Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Experience with public speaking Proficiency with MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint Satisfactory employment record Preferred: Member of Dietitians of Canada Member of Dietitians of Canada Oncology Network Ability to speak French Asset: Experience working in a health care setting Knowledge and/or work experience in nutritional oncology Interested and qualified applicants are invited to submit a detailed and current resume, plus a cover letter demonstrating how you meet the above qualifications and the above competition number.
