Job Description

The Deskside Services team provides second level support, maintenance, and planning for SaskEnergy’s desktop, notebook, smartphone and printer environment, as well as resourcing for ongoing projects supporting the above infrastructure.

SaskEnergy’s Desktop infrastructure is currently based on Windows 10 Enterprise edition, and Microsoft Office 2016.

The Deskside Services team supports 900 iPhones, 510 desktops, 1040 notebook computers and about 300 semi-rugged notebooks in our mobile workforce environment and consists of multi-vendor contract resources operating in a pool concept where resources are utilized across varying projects and operational areas based on skills and abilities, with a goal of providing the most efficient and effective support to the business.

Description of Requirements

SaskEnergy is looking for a proven Desktop Analyst to work in our Deskside Services Team. This team is primarily responsible for supporting all end user devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and desktop software applications. This person will also be responsible for researching and providing recommendations on technical solutions as they relate to end user devices.

The key skills and knowledge areas required for this Resource are outlined in attached Appendix C – Supplementary Specifications. The Desktop Analyst must be able to perform in a team environment with strong interpersonal and professional communication skills. North American job experience is considered an asset for this proposal. Proponents are encouraged to provide specific and qualitative verbiage of other areas where their expertise can add value to our teams, and make our projects as successful as possible.

The preference for start date is as soon as possible. Submitted resources MUST have a valid Class 5 Sask Driver’s License or equivalent to be considered. The initial term for this role will conclude on March 31, 2022; after which SaskEnergy will evaluate its ongoing requirements and potentially extend the term for this Resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the proponent’s Technology Master Service Agreement (TMSA).

The Resource will be required to work and be located on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra). Occasional travel to support offices across the province will be required. Submitted resources MUST have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent to be considered.
