One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a Design Engineering Manager for their plant in Vaughan, ON for their facility.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership:Provide hand-on support to shop floor, field, and customer personnel for the installation of new production equipment and support for production tooling issues (equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.) Design Development:Participate in the design process to translate concepts or ideas into technical drawings and schematics using SolidWorks and Draftsight and Oversee new product development, including creation of specifications and drawings for product including new product launch planning with the team to help ensure smooth product roll outs. Project Management:Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of design projects. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure that projects meet quality standards. Technical Expertise:Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in design engineering. Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, assisting with problem-solving and decision-making. Quality Assurance:Implement quality control processes to ensure that designs are reliable and meet all relevant industry standards and regulations. Communication:Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of design objectives with company goals. QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field. 5 years of experience in design engineering, with a proven track record of successful project management. 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Proficiency in CAD and other design software. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Minimum of 5-8 years Engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing environment Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineering (PE) license. Experience in [specific industry or technology expertise]. Project management certification (e.g., PMP). Familiarity with [specific design software/tools].
