Job Description
Research new brands, products, and purchase for a defined area of the store including opportunity buys (closeouts, end of season sales) Work with vendors to obtain discounts, negotiate cost and terms, co-op, and prizing Collaborate with floor manager to plan and execute merchandise displays and product placement Attend buying meeting and market shows to identify new products and trends Communicate new product knowledge, promotions, deadlines and ship dates with managers, warehouse, and staff Analyze product performance reports, buying patterns, research trends and manage stock levels.
