Job Description

Responsible for the man agement of Forecasting Process in Latin America (Brazil, Andes, MCAC, South Cone) necessary to drive effective production and materials plans and participate in managing resultant inventory levels, including; safety stocks, slow and obsolete stock and inventory levels required to mitigate risk through new product introductions. Work directly with Product & Sales Managers to ensure integrity of forecasts to marketing plans, particularly with regard to new product launches, cannibalization and ongoing promotions. Facilitate the reporting of forecast information and market drivers on a monthly basis through monthly forecast review meeting to aid in managing the Supply Chain.

Monitors and reports on forecast accuracy, product availability, on time delivery, inventory status and the phase-in/phase-out of products. This information is vital to monitoring performance against budget and sales targets .

Compiles & maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies stocked in establishment.

This role will also have the opportunity to be involved in project managing business changes from time-to-time as these situations arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Manages and is responsible for creating monthly forecasts, identifying and targeting outliers for review and lead monthly forecasting meetings with Global and Local Product Managers and other Stakeholders .

Utilize historical data, statistical software, and marketing intelligence to develop product forecasts . Maintain forecasts and planning parameters in ERP system .

Work with Product Managers to generate forecasts for new products . Ensures these are based on a sound framework and that information obtained through in-depth discussions with regional Produc t Managers and Cross-Functional teams is translated into unit forecasts and that the underlying assumptions are clearly articulated .

Ensure forecasts are updated and entered into Oracle Demand Cloud. 

Analyze and review the Actual-to- Forecast a ccuracy on a continuous basis. This involves significant interaction with Product Managers on analysis and trends of products and recommend ing changes to either/or forecasts and safety stocks required to support forecasts . Identify any situations where customer service is at risk as a result of demand exceeding forecast. Maintain database to include new products and manage existing records.

Manage and publish KPIs for forecasting process .

Reviews On Hand Value Inventory and Slow-moving-and-obsolete-stock (SLOB) published by Finance and highlights possible items to obsolete and/or reserve . Develops strategy with Product Manager to minimize or clear stock. 

Cr eate/ m aintain Consensus meeting content and provide meaningful insight during the meeting to departmental leaders.

Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to proactively adapt demand planning strategies.

E nsure s all activities are carried out in compliance with established quality control policies and work instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy at all levels.

Experience leading projects and teams and collaborate and/or follow in a team environment.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills , including knowledge of statistical processes and their application in forecasting and inventory management .

High sense of urgency; thrives in fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.

Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Ability to organize and run meetings to drive appropriate business outcomes

Demonstrated experience in business process improvements and/or project management

2 or more years of experience in d emand planning/ supply chain role within an MRP or FMCG environment

Relevant tertiary qualifications or qualifications in APICS or similar.

Strong knowledge of ISO9001.

Experience with ERP system

Experience with Oracle MRP/DRP, Demantra and/or Oracle Demand Cloud .

Strong business analytics skills

Experience with Tableau, or Cognos
