Job Category: Procurement and Supply Chain Requisition Number: PLANI003053 Apply now Posted : April 25, 2024 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location DescriptionThe Demand Planner responsible for sales forecasting plays a crucial role in supply chain management, as sales forecasts are a major element in the generation of production and purchasing requirements. He is also responsible for overseeing Product Allocation to protect our customers whenever there are risks and exposures.Product Allocations will be managed via IBP and will be communicated to the sales and supply chain management teams. He will be responsible for understanding the market, customer behaviors, strategic importance and managing global demand. Finally, he is in charge of order management to ensure that our customers do not buy above a certain threshold. Maintain and update the Drug Shortage Web Site to keep Health Canada informed of our shortages.Responsabilities & Duties :AnalysisPast sales to detect trendsVariances between sales vs. forecasts vs. open sales ordersPerformance metrics to understand key contributorsPlan and facilitate recurring forecast review meetings with key stakeholders, namely Sales and MarketingBased on stakeholder analysis, rationale and inputParticipate in monthly meetings with selected key clientsParticipate in the Budget process by working with Sales, Marketing and FinanceCommunicate significant adjustments to Sales and Supply Chain Management teamsBased on stakeholder analysis, rationale and inputObtain their approval to adjust forecasts based on analyses of internal plant capacity and inputs from external suppliersRisks & Opportunities: Quantify risks and opportunities arising from the market and reflect them in APO, if necessary, working in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teamsActively participate in the S&OP processSales Forecast Accuracy, Underselling Bias, Overselling BiasTop Contributors and Worst OffendersExplain the significant changes since the previous S&OPLargest Increases and Decreases in Sales ForecastsLong-term forecastingIn collaboration with the Marketing and Sales team, identify the products on which we expect growth in order to implement and maintain these assumptions in the systemGather information on products that will be launched in the next 4 years in order to implement and maintain these assumptions in the systemProduct AllocationUnderstand the reasons for gaps and exposuresUsing IBP, set up an Allocation and check in with the sales teamAdjust IBP settings if necessaryWith the approval of Sales, ask customers to place filters to protect our T2 customersOrder ManagementAnalyze and approve, if necessary, the daily orders of wholesalers sent by Customer Service according to the previously agreed thresholdsAnalyze and approve, if necessary, direct sales rep orders sent by customer service that are blocked due to product allocationsWork closely with the Marketing, Sales and Regulatory teams to ensure everyone is aligned to submit reports on the Drug Shortage websiteReview and improve the process to provide transparent and timely reporting to Health CanadaConstant search for process and performance improvementsDevelop, implement and maintain processes to correct deficiencies or improve performanceThe Demand Planner is also a super user for APO (Sales Forecasting) and IBP (for Product Allocations)Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Bilingual orally and in writing (English and French)Excellent knowledge of SAP and APO or any related systemsIBP knowledge / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning an assetAdvanced Excel capability and ability to preview data via PowerPoint presentationsExcellent communication and influencing skills to present results upwardsDemonstrated experience in relationship managementHands-on experience in reportingQualificationsEducationRequiredBachelor or better in Autre - Other.ExperienceRequired Bachelor : Supply Chain management, Marketing, Science, Engineering, Finance. 5 years:5 years: 5 years experience in Sales Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, Product Management or related fields. Preferred Experience in the generic pharmaceutical sector or in a related industry where commodity markets and product substitution are an important industry feature is an advantage.
