Job Description

Job Objective

Supervise decontamination services using the Zyme-Flow ProcessSM in refinery process units and other industrial settings.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervises decontamination service operations during basic decontamination projects consisting of multiple vessels and equipment and may perform shift supervisor duties.
  • Be a strong team player.

  • Performs operations in a reliable and consistent manner by following written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Conducts pre-job walks and discusses the procedures with clients.
  • Demonstrates communication skills to describe basic chemical and application methods to clients.
  • Ability to pass the Basic Plus safety training and other site-specific training as required.
  • Abides by company and client safety programs, policies and procedures, and work safely at all times.
  • Possesses an advanced understanding of ZymeFlow applications.
  • Ability to set up barrels and barrel pumps for chemical injection.
  • Introduces chemicals into designated injection points.
  • Monitors chemical levels and ensures injection rates are followed according to the proposed plan.
  • Conducts safety meeting(s) and completes safety-related paperwork (JSAs, tailgate meetings with crew, additional weekly training, etc.).
  • Records events and provides status updates daily while on assignment.
  • Follows prescribed planning booklet instructions during execution of projects and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and transmits to the corporate office.
  • Performs meter testing procedures to measure H2S, LEL, Benzene and other potential hazards.
  • Interprets plant process flow diagrams (P&ID’s) and is capable of assisting refinery operations in lining system up to be decontaminated.
  • Communicates with clients to explain ZymeFlow procedures.
  • Handles a variety of decontamination service situations as they arise.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting on jobs (checking temperatures and ZymeFlow strength test).
  • Assists with various other job site functions as instructed.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of Industry Experience or equivalent education, one (1) year of ZymeFlow Decon Experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check through DISA with a 02 or better rating.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time, both domestic and internationally.
  • Ability to pass other company and site-specific training.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Specialized refinery academic instruction preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to place pumps into position in barrels. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 50 lbs. overhead with both hands during pump placement.
  • Ability to pump chemical using a pump from a 55-gallon drum into the refinery vessel/pipe and able to lift and transfer a 40 lb. chemical injection pump from one drum to another.
  • Work is generally performed in a refinery or petrochemical plant environment.
  • Must be able to pass “Work Steps” program, medical physical, and hair follicle drug testing.
