The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario is one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada, offers settlement services to newcomers to Canada, operates two overnight camps and 16 Health & Fitness branches across Southwestern Ontario, and we have been making a positive difference in the communities we serve for 167 years!

Position: Day Camp Leadership Positions

Start Date: May 20, 2024 – August 30, 2024

Salary: $17.50-18.75/hour

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee coordination of camp logistics.
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with partners and third-party service providers.
  • Act as a positive role model in attitude, health, and wellness for campers, volunteers, and staff.
  • Implement active risk management practices as per current policies.
  • Communicate positively, solve problems, and address concerns in a timely manner with camper families.
  • Manage and monitor weekly staffing needs in partnership with the Leadership Team.

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience working with children in a Day Camp setting.
  • Experience in a leadership position.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per current regulations.
  • A dedication to demonstrate the YMCA core values.
