If you meet the above qualifications and are passionate about database administration and cloud technologies, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Lead the migration of SQL Server databases to different platforms like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL, ensuring smooth data transfer and compatibility.Develop migration plans and strategies, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity during the process.Collaborate with teams to analyze data dependencies, identify challenges, and implement solutions for compatibility issues and performance optimization.Set up data replication and synchronization between SQL Server and other databases for real-time integration and consistency.Design and implement data transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and other ETL tools to map, convert, and validate data across platforms.Conduct thorough testing to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data, addressing any quality issues.Provide support and guidance to teams throughout the migration process, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.Install, configure, and build SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) as needed for data migration and reporting purposes.Implement complex SQL Always On configurations, including multi-subnet deployments from on-premises to cloud environments, and configure chained merge and transactional replication on top of SQL Always On for advanced data synchronization.Document migration procedures and train teams to ensure ongoing support and maintenance.Stay updated on database migration trends and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements throughout the migration.Utilize .NET and PowerShell skills for scripting and automation tasks related to database migration and administrationQualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.15+ years of experience in database administration and migration, with expertise in SQL Server and other platforms.Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL, including installation, configuration, and administration, with proficiency in advanced SQL features like PolyBase for seamless data integration.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and experience with cloud-based database migration services is desirable.Knowledge of .NET for scripting and automation tasks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Microsoft certifications, such as MCSE: Data Management and Analytics, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are a plus.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.*Notice to Ontario Applicants –Momentum Financial Services Groupis committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities up to the point of undue hardship during the recruitment, assessment, and selection process.
