Job Description

NOTE: HYBRID work model, 2-days/week in office. Office located in Toronto.Type: 10 Month Contract, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/weekWork Experience: 7+ years Data Modeling, Pension, Risk, Python, SQL, PowerBI, Excel, Adobe, dashboards, predictive modelsIndustry: Financial, PensionsDESCRIPTION:Provide key support in the areas of predictive modelling, data mining, reporting and analytics.Leverage deep expertise in modelling approaches and techniques and share best practices with the team.Leverage strong technical skills and a variety of tools (e.g. Python, SQL, PowerBI, Excel, Adobe) to deliver models and actionable insights.Proactively lead the design, development, and execution of analytical and reporting projects and activities to:Understand key behaviours and attitudes that drive customer satisfaction, goodwill, and engagement.Identify operational and process efficiencies and recommend improvements.Identify and mitigate risk.Deeply understand our business.Support the analytical and reporting requirements of all departments and provide consultative and tailored support to other Departments/Divisions (e.g. Strategy & Risk, HR, Corporate Communications), up to and including the Executive Team.Support multi-channel tracking and analytics (web, telephone, email etc.) to enable a holistic view of users and external stakeholders.Provide actionable audience specific recommendations and leverage a variety of communication and education mechanisms (e.g. presentations, reports, dashboards, online portals) to embed the knowledge and insights across the organization.Create and monitor project plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.Work cross-functionally as part of larger project teams to deliver against corporate scorecard initiatives.Development of predictive models for key processes (e.g. Died on Pension, Terminations, Data quality etc.). The primary goal of these models is to make automated decisions on which processes can proceed without manual intervention versus those that need additional oversight and management.Evaluate similar use of the independent variables currently found within the Termination Option model in other customer service processes (/transactions) andExperiment with additional independent variables to increase fit (/ reduce false positives)Execute retraining of the current Termination Option model that is in production accounting for performance in 2023 and 2024.Share modelling expertise, through working partnerships within Business Insight resources, facilitating their skill development.Assist with the implementation of model governance activities/ processes for all models that are put into production.Ad hoc analysis of key operational, experiential, and risk-based questions.Support new report development and enhancements.Reporting to Senior Manager, Business Insight and AnalyticsWork with 4 other managers in the team, plus one intern.Liaise with stakeholders in all Departments across the Division (Member Experience, Digital, Employer Experience, Quality Assurance, Actuarial Services etc.)TO APPLY: https://directitrecruiting.com/job/data-modeler-hybrid/
