Job Description

  • Take charge of the data center's daily operations, ensuring continuous 24/7 availability and adherence to all SLAs, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the top escalation point, quickly managing and resolving all onsite incidents, major issues, and change management activities.
  • Oversee all critical facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, security, and fire safety systems, ensuring they are always running at peak performance.
  • Implement and refine best-in-class operational practices based on ITIL and other industry standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Lead efforts for all facility-related certifications and maintain strict compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures to boost service quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor, manage, and develop a high-performing team of specialists and engineers, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, approve purchases, and manage the operational budget to ensure we're getting the best value and support.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data center or facility management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of critical facility systems, including CRAC/CRAU, chillers, PDUs, DRUPS, UPS, switchgear, and network cabling.
  • Familiarity with Data Center standards and certifications.
  • A proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams to meet strategic goals.
  • Exceptional communication, vendor management, and negotiation skills.
