Data Analyst Sql

Flex Metrics is looking for a junior/mid-level Data Analyst / SQL Report Writer to join our Customer Success team. Flex is a leading provider of factory floor production visualization and decision support software with deployments on over 1,000 production lines at manufacturers located in the USA, Canada, Latin America and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SSRS Reports and Power BI solutions from customer requirements following an agile methodology
  • Providing Tier 2 triage on the Flex Help Desk regarding Data Analytics troubleshooting and support
  • Conduct end-user training on our product suite and share best practices for common-sense analytics
  • Troubleshoot SQL queries and data replication issues
  • Communicate effectively with clients to trouble-shoot, configure, plan, and implement enterprise level integrations from shop-floor data automation to front-office ERP interfaces
Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience
  • Ability to analyze and translate complex data sets into everyday language that non-technical people can understand.
  • 2+ years recent work experience with MS SQL Server and Reporting Services
  • 2+ years recent work experience with analytics using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.
  • Data modeling experience with an understanding of table joins, Star-Schemas and Data Warehouses
  • MS SQL Server configuration, installation, tuning and maintenance
  • Ability and willingness to work in an environment providing 24x7x365 support
  • Ability to manage to deadlines and complete client projects on-time and on-budget
  • Strong writing skills with ability to write clear emails that concisely explain complex technical issues to non-technical customer personnel
  • Positive and personable person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage to deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and engage on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable in a small, but high-quality team environment working remotely via Zoom and MS Teams
Optional
  • Experience/knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, Lean Manufacturing, and 6-Sigma
  • Hands-on Azure Cloud (or AWS) experience
