Customer Service Representative – Guelph

This is a Full Time Position
Shift is Mon-Friday 8:00am -5:00pm
Location: Wellington Motor Freight: 7419 McLean Rd W, Guelph, ON N1H 6H9

What you need:

· Prior Transportation Knowledge (minimum of 3 years experience)

· Geographical Expertise (Continental USA, Mexico and Canada)

· Experience with Calculating transit time based on mode of transport

· Strong Organizational and Time Management skills

· Strong Communication of English Language (read/write/verbal)

· Attention to detail when completing documentation

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrate good judgement

· Ability to problem solve and improve processes

· Reliable mode of transportation to our Guelph Location

About the Role:

· Tracking and Tracing (Exceed customer on-time pick-up and delivery expectations; proactive analysis to prevent service failures)

· Building Customer Relationships (Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures, organic growth on customer lanes/freight opportunities etc.)

· Building Carrier Relationships (Productive carrier relationship development, AP Discrepancy resolution, handling and management of difficult situations, etc.)

· Order Entry/Contracting (inputting freight details to facilitate the movement of our customer’s freight)

· Coordinate and monitor shipment bookings with Wellington offices and other services providers

· Confirm and monitor shipments picked up from various client locations

· Verify accuracy of shipping documents received from client.

· Enter shipment details into Fleet Management System

· Work with client to resolve any discrepancies

· Arrange pick-up of shipments from and to the USA as well as within Canada. Follow-up on shipments ready date, shipment status and communicate with carriers, client customers and third-party service providers

· Follow up on all shipments through to delivery; obtain POD copies for all shipments and update the customer

· Provide ad-hoc quotations to client

· Respond to all client inquiries

· Stay in communication with operations team to help push information needed for customer updates.

· Monitor OTP for customers on a monthly basis and report back to management.

· Provide all customers with proactive communication and updates through TMS sites, emails, ect.
