Position: Culinary Specialist- Chef – New recipe Development Lead –– QSR ( Quick Serve Restaurants; Food Assembly)Fast Food, Quick Serve , Food AssemblyNew Recipe DevelopmentInventory, Replenishment, Commercialization - Ingredients Salary: 100K-130K, benefits ; full time permanent Location: Mississauga- Oakville- Hamilton, ON area HybridOur client is a well-established QSR – Quick Serve Restaurant Chain, specializing in fast food, Food Assembly & Quick Serve business focused on International -Asian – Fusion cuisine. They have a new job open for Culinary Specialist- Chef – New recipe Development Lead to lead their New Recipe Development initiatives and manage the inventory, replenishment and commercialization of the food recipe. This a hybrid work arrangement for a creative chef to experiment and create signature dishes/ recipes from their home / office lab location, test in offices ( Mississauga- Burlington- Hamilton area) and lead the commercialization of the recipe. Candidates experienced with Asian cuisine / Fusion Pan Asia, Japanese, Asian and similar cuisines with experience in Quick Serve preferred. Culinary Specialist / Chef will be responsible for working with existing ingredients and create new recipe / dishes / within the food assembly quick serve format. You will oversee commercialization of the recipe, inventory, raw materials requirement and work with suppliers for replenishment. You will create SOPs and Best Practices for optimal ingredient usage, and improve existing processes towards Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety and compliance.Culinary Specialist / Chef / Kitchen Manager will have 5-6 years’ experience as head chef / culinary expert/ culinary specialist/ product development lead within food assembly, quick serve ( MUST have ) Asian / pan Asian/ fusion cuisine. Hands on experience of creating new recipes is a MUST have. Strong ingredients replenishment, stock , inventory , supply chain experience I s a MUST. Above average Excel skills , ability to work with suppliers within fast food, quick serve business highly preferred. Ability to work on kitchen replenishment, ingredients quantities , commercialization is a MUST . Food GMP, HACCP (MUST have).
