Job Description

The Credit Portfolio Monitoring (CPM) group lies within Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) of Societe Generale and its mission is to manage GLBA's loan book with the objectives to enhance stewardship of capital through capital optimization and disciplined portfolio management, to increase balance sheet velocity and to implement a capital light model.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

The individual will be responsible to manage the credit approval process for GLBA in the Americas, notably to conduct the approval process for transactions requiring approval or greenlights by the Head of GLBA, the Head of GLBA in the region, the US CEO, and other Senior Management as needed. The responsibilities include the following, and are not limited to:

- Production of the weekly pipeline in relation with the GLBA business lines and presentation to the GLBA Americas ExCo

- Communication of the deal flow to management

- Submission of the transaction for decision

- Organization, coordination of Credit Committees for GLBA Management as needed

- Organization, coordination of approval process during appeals

- Coordination with non GLBA Business Lines and/or other stakeholders on approval process for shared transactions

- Coordination with global and local teams for the pre-requites to the credit decisions

- Ensuring timely completion of the credit approval process for Senior Management, in accordance with global and local governances

- Ensuring audit trail of the credit approval process

- Coordination of greenlight processes for the region

Other contributions include:

- Providing support to GLBA staff on approval process

- Contribute to global exposure monitoring requests as needed (example: contribution to monthly risk committee reports, liaison with local teams – Global Banking and Advisory, Risk Management Division and others on ad’hoc requests)

- Communication of ad’hoc governance processes as needed

- RiskCos: coordination on transverse reviews as needed

- Participate in audit, regulatory or ad’hoc requests where relevant (eg: specific limits consumption, Watch List information, credit review process, problem credits…)

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

- 10 years of credit analysis experience

- Professional credit risk knowledge

- Ability to work under pressure, organize time, manage tight deadlines and identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little notice

- Excellent communication skills, verbal and writtem

-Ability to work independently, with minimal or no supervision

-Ability to work in a team environment and ability to interact effectively with professionals at all levels

LANGUAGE:

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
