Job Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Corporate Product Manager – Utility Trailers for Eastern Canada, based in either of our Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal locations. As the Subject Matter Expert on the features, benefits and product applications for the Brandt’s entire line of Utility Trailers, including Low Profile, Tilt, Dump and Deckover trailers,  you will help develop and implement a strategy to position Brandt as the leading dealer in the Utility Trailer market as measured by increasing our current customer base.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSales SupportWork with the sales team in building knowledge and understanding of the Utility Trailer market (customer segments, competitive product profiles, jobsite applications/opportunities).Assist Territory Managers on sales calls, by evaluating the customer’s current & future equipment/material hauling scope and matching those needs to the proper trailer for the right application.Maintain a high level of confidence amongst all customers, by demonstrating expertise, sense of urgency and reliability.Provide competitive analysis for all Utility Trailer types, focusing on features, benefits, and applications, to create powerful sales tools that can be used by the Sales Teams to increase revenue and market share.Product demonstration support for sales teams by assisting with proper trailer usage, to ensure a safe and optimal trailer performance.TrainingProvide and monitor training for all new and existing territory managers as required, including:Features, benefits and proper Load-to-Trailer application trainingHands-on product utilization trainingGeneralBe the liaison between the sales team and our manufacturing team, as it pertains to product applications, new product launches, and sales product training programs by:Interacting with their product application development teams.In-person visits to our manufacturing facilities.Participation in both Dealer and Customer Advocacy Group meetings.Provide feedback on:Competitive product intelligence (features/benefits and job-applications on current and new models, product quality and customer feedback)Sales team effectiveness on product knowledge, customer demonstrations and overall product proposition deliveryProduct application trendsIndustry buying trendsHelp rollout any new branch/division/region/company initiatives, for your AOR (Area of Responsibility)Assist with Marketing initiatives by providing feedback on our product features/benefits/job-applications, and by helping with new campaign rollouts.Required SkillsComfortable with towing equipment on trailers (including loading/unloading and securing)Enthusiastic, energetic, and goal driven.Excellent verbal and written communications.Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.Comfortable with leading group presentations and product training (both in a classroom format and on a jobsite).Required ExperienceFluent in both English and French considered an assetExperience with Utility Trailers (either selling, and/or owner/operator experience)Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ prior experience in a related field.Must be familiar with the construction jobsite environment, having spent some time working in or servicing them.Must be proficient with Microsoft OfficeMust be able to travel throughout the assigned area of responsibility (AOR).Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (a recent driver’s abstract will be required).Must possess proper driver’s license to tow equipment (varies by province).Must possess and maintain a valid passport and be available to travel internationally.Comfortable with towing equipment on trailers (including loading/unloading and securing)Enthusiastic, energetic, and goal driven.Excellent verbal and written communications.Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.Comfortable with leading group presentations and product training (both in a classroom format and on a jobsite).
