This will be a pivotal role in the company’s long-term success and will help develop the foundation for continued growth and scalability. Being an experienced and strategic leader, the Controller will have complete oversight of the finance and accounting functions, managing a strong team to deliver results.The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management, as well as experience working in the food and beverage industry.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulationsManage the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrualsDevelop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirementsMonitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to management to improve financial resultsManage the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget, including working with department heads to develop accurate revenue and expense projectionsCollaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue growthSupervise the accounting team, including coaching and mentoring staff, providing guidance and support on complex accounting issues, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting activitiesAssist with the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, processes, and controlsPerform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by managementQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation preferredMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in the food and beverage industryStrong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards and regulationsExperience with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysisAdvanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software systemsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong leadership and team management skillsThe ability to work agile in a startup environmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsDental careDiscounted or free foodExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offStore discountTuition reimbursementVision careFlexible Language Requirement:French not requiredSchedule:Monday to FridayOvertimeSupplemental pay types:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor's Degree (required)Experience:Accounting: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
