As a Corporate Accountant you will be responsible for providing complex financial support and analyses to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial information. You will provide guidance to Junior team members and can review and approve their work.

Your Responsibilities:
Participate in the accurate and timely monthly close and report process
Prepare accurate and timely journal entries
Prepare accurate and timely monthly account reconciliations and other control activities
Prepare and review tax compliance workbooks
Review and analyze month end financial results and align to budget
Prepare
quarterly
financial statement notes and support files
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Support external audit work
Assist with special projects as required
Apply financial accounting standards and identify and resolve departures from policies
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance and training.
Your Skills:
Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting standards for private enterprises
Strong knowledge of CRA Corporate tax for small business and foundations
Working knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Out –of-the-box thinking with focus on continuous improvement
Excellent organizational skills, time management and ability to work on multiple projects as one time in a fast-paced environment
Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
Highly proficient with computer application
Your Experience:
Post-secondary education/equivalent with practical experience.
Minimum
2 – 4 years of accounting experience
Professional designation CPA or enrolled in the CPA program would be considered
an asset
