Indirect Procurement Coordinator

Role Summary:

The procurement team is looking for  a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Order Coordinator within our Indirect Procurement Department. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient procurement of indirect goods and services, supporting various departments across the organization.

 Responsibilities:

  •  Prepare purchase orders based on contracts or quotes sent by the stakeholders;
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify order details;
  • Monitor the status of open purchase orders and contribute to the timely resolution of any issues;
  • Maintain and update records, spreadsheets, and databases to reflect changes and receipts;
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable teams to reconcile invoices and facilitate timely payment to suppliers;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and cost effectiveness;
  • Provide reporting on purchase orders, status updates, and cost analysis to Procurement management and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement team to enhance workflows and procurement processes;
  • Complete one-off procurement projects as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken;
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role, preferably in an indirect procurement team;
  • Strong understanding of procurement and accounting principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Purchase Order software (i.e., Reqlogic, SAP, Oracle, etc.);
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills.
