Reporting to the Manager, Industrial Controls, the Controls Engineer/Technologist will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Produce electrical and control system design drawings and other documentation including single line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, load calculations, BOMs, and other related documents;
  • Specify and select electrical components for use in electrical design;
  • Oversee and support control panel builds and FAT testing;
  • Support on-site team with system testing and commissioning.

Our Must Haves

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Electrical Design and troubleshooting;
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Professional Engineer “P.Eng” designation with EGBC is considered as an asset;
  • Experience in control system and electrical panel design using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN platforms;
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron) and HMI programming;
  • Experience working in the food, manufacturing, agriculture, pulp and paper, or forestry/lumber industries will be considered an asset.
