This position reports to the General Counsel. JOB DESCRIPTION:• Reviews, negotiates, and drafts various contracts, Request for Proposal, contractual provisions, Canadian Amendments from the United States or other countries, and related items for the Company; Advises the Company about such contracts, provisions, and items. • Advises the Company about Contracts Policies and Procedures. • Updates, drafts, and implements legal reviews updates to the Policies and Agreements, when needed. • Research various matters (legal or otherwise), as needed. • Complete the corporate filings, annual returns, resolutions, minute book. • Takes care of the renewal and maintenance of the various licenses in each province in which the Company operates. • Handles the legal billings routing. • Updates the various legal databases. • Handles risk coordinators duties which includes the insurance renewal for the Company (insurance binders, insurance certificates, bonds, coordinate the purchase of the local Commercial General Liability, automobile and property insurance, payment of deductibles and policy premiums and bonds). • Handles the insurance and risk related questions and requests from the Company. • Perform other Paralegal duties, as required: manages files and performs administrative duties, supports Legal Department. • Other duties, as assigned. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external contacts. • Ability to take initiative and work with a diverse internal clientele. • Must be able to organize and prioritize to support an effective/efficient operation and accomplishment of stated goals. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures in a clear and concise manner. • Ability to work efficiently and independently with flexibility and adaptability. • Attention to detail, strong analytical, negotiation, advocacy and drafting skills, in addition to possessing effective problem-solving skills. • Strong analytical, negotiation, advocacy and drafting skills. • Solid business judgment. • Must be self-directed with excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and be comfortable within an ever-changing environment.
