Job Role: Contract Mechanical Packaging Maintenance EngineerNO LTD COMPANIES INSIDE SCOPE ONLYJob Type: Contract - long term potential , 3 month ongoingRotating ShiftsOur client is a renowned and admired FMCG Manufacturing giant enjoying UK dominance and market leading status in their category sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineer; electrical or mechanical bias, to hit the ground running on shift to cover seasonal peak for 3 - 6 months ongoing, rotating shifts, ideally with packaging machinery bias and knowledgeKey Responsibilities – Contract Mechanical Packaging Maintenance EngineerResponsible for a combination of planned and reactive maintenance and technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiencyPerform fault-finding and diagnosis on a range of PLC controlled equipmenmtAttend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response on plant equipment and machinery breakdownsCarry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of Automation machinery including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and robotsDeliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.Ensure the efficient running of a continuous process, moving and packing high quality products, packaged and prepared for deliveryContinually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the siteAgree preventative electrical maintenance plansQualifications & Requirements – Contract Mechanical Packaging Maintenance EngineerApprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline mechanical or electrical in maintenance engineeringIdeally packaging and related slicing, dicing , thermoforming packaging machines, ovensProduction line experience on high-speed packaging equipment in FMCGA proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal developmentWhat we can offer – Contract Mechanical Packaging Maintenance EngineerWORLD CLASS AUTOMATED FACILITY3 - 6 months contract ongoingFor more information on this role, please contact MIKE BUTLER on mike.butler@omegareource.co.ukOR 07508 014441Candidates who are currently a multi-skilled engineer, packaging engineer, contract engineer, packaging engineer, maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical biased engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, shift engineer or maintenance engineer may be suitable for this position.Omega is an employment business specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors.
