To achieve this aim, PCE will supply B.C.’s proposed Woodfibre LNG project, which will liquefy the natural gas and load it into vessels. The natural gas will be shipped to help supply a growing demand for cleaner sources of energy in Asia.OUR FACILITIESOur fully sweet natural gas operation is centralized around our main Altares shallow cut refrige plants located approximately 124 kms northwest of Fort St. John, BC near Hudson’s Hope, BC. We have a Plant, Field, and water handling division all supported by our in-house maintenance department, complete with a warehouse and maintenance shop. We generate power, recycle our produced water and make our fuel gas. We commissioned a third phase of expansion at our large central processing facility in February 2022 and are working towards completing another phase of expansion by the end of next year.PCE has invested extensive amount of capital in our water infrastructure to facilitate high water recycling rates and a full life cycle approach to water management. We are continuously expanding our storage requirements and evaluating internal water disposal options to align with our growth strategy.PCE strongly believes in sustainable development and we are continuously implementing improvements within our operations to lower emissions.Responsibilities:OUR CONTRACTSThe company provides renewable one-year contracts with competitive hourly person and truck rates, monthly travel pay compensation based on location/distance traveled and cell phone allowances. For those who are travelling to site from away, accommodations and meals are included at our private, fully catered operations camp. The facility is six years old and has amenities that include a theatre, gym, and a games room. Personnel also have their own private room with an ensuite bathroom.THE POSITIONPCE is undergoing an exciting phase of expansion and is seeking experienced Board & Gas Plant Operators for our upcoming Phase 4 expansion. As a key member of our team, you will report to the Plant Team Lead and play a crucial role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our Sweet Gas Processing Facilities in the Altares area. This camp-based role requires a flexible work schedule, including a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation with 12-hour shifts covering both day and night. The position demands a readiness to work extra hours and be on-call as necessary. All successful candidates will undergo a drug and alcohol test as part of our hiring process.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Plant Site Tasks:Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, and valves.Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure optimal plant performance.Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for various plant systems as required.Manage and oversee the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.Control Room Operations:Monitor process control systems and adjust operations to maintain product quality and efficiency.Analyze data from various sensors and instruments to ensure all systems are functioning within specified parameters.Respond to alarms and indicators promptly to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.Coordinate with field operators for hands-on adjustments and interventions in plant processes.Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:Identify and diagnose operational issues in plant systems, employing a systematic approach to resolve them.Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related problems, minimizing downtime and production losses.Collaborate with maintenance teams to facilitate repairs and preventive maintenance activities.Implement corrective actions and modifications to prevent recurrence of operational issues.Production Reporting and Documentation:Accurately record daily production data, including throughput, product quality, and energy consumption.Prepare and submit reports on plant performance, highlighting any deviations or anomalies.Maintain detailed logs of operational adjustments, maintenance activities, and safety checks.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team.Conduct work in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.Participate in safety meetings, drills, and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.Team Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with other operators, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure cohesive plant operations.Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth handovers and information sharing.Provide guidance and support to junior operators, fostering a learning environment.THE INDIVIDUALThis role is both exciting and challenging, suitable for a candidate who is eager to contribute to a growing organization. The ideal candidate will possess:A minimum of 10 years of experience in operating facilities, with a preference for candidates with oil & gas industry experience.
