April 17, 2024 Enterprise is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Health Practice. This position is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complicated issues facing the country for many of Canada’s largest health companies, government agencies, and associations. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who is talented, motivated and ready to take on exciting work that delivers for our health clients specially on files that require public relations and communications support. A strong understanding of the health care system and communications is a must. Previous experience working in media, public relations, government and the public sector will be highly valued, along with a keen interest in the political process and passion for public policy. CoreResponsibilitiesWorking with media and providing public relations support for clients by developing media relations plans and pitching. Writing press releases, speeches, op-eds, digital content and briefing notes on policy and political files. Dealing directly with clients, coordinating meetings and ensuring projects are progressing in line with client expectations. Developing and writing strategies and approaches to help our clients solve problems. Being involved in developing winning campaigns that bring together public policy, advocacy, media relations and/or digital elements. Providing project management and account management support across an array of files. Creating and maintaining productive relationships with government, media and industry stakeholders and clients. Staying up to date on current events, politics and public policy issues in health care. Responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and developing pitches for new business opportunities. RequirementsRelevant experience in media relations, health policy or health communications. Post-secondary education/equivalent experience. Experience working as a journalist or in media relations would be an asset. Superior writing/editing skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex content. Strong social and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong understanding of the health care system in Ontario and Canada. A developed ability to provide strategic advice. Ability to manage and support client relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Any additional languages spoken/written or experience with research would be a significant asset. Location:Ottawa (preferred!) or Toronto.
