Overview:

LiRo is currently seeking full-time
Construction Inspectors
for public housing projects throughout the five boroughs.
Responsibilities:
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
Inspect all material upon arrival to the job-site to ensure compliance
Review plans to identify potential violations
Follow through on the work from mobilization through completion ensuring satisfactory work completed
Communicate and coordinate all facets of work with the subcontractors and concerned parties
Perform resident relocation walk through with tenants
Document inspections and report any issues
Determine the quality of materials being used throughout the testing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management a+
6+ years of experience in building construction trades including residential construction (finishes and applications)
Ability to work weekends (including Sundays) when needed.
Knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures
Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations.
Proficient in Excel
Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications and generate changes to the scope of work as required.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Collaborate with multiple team members and have the ability to multi-task.
Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site.
