Job Description

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage and oversee field work for Client rebuild projects following property damage due to wind, rain, hail, etc. As a Journeyperson Carpenter or Apprentice level 4, your Client service and Supervision skills will be supported by your knowledge and years of experience in the construction industry. Based out of the Regina, Sask office, your time is estimated 40% office, 60% field construction work for Clients within southern Saskatchewan. Join a reputable Employer and leader in the industry!As Construction Site Supervisor, you will oversee the work and safety of field construction workers and subcontractors for a variety of rebuild projects ranging in value from $3,000-100,000. Responsibilities include:Assess and plan project needs including field staff, building materials and equipment.Plan and coordinate daily operations at the job site. Select and schedule the work of subcontractors and employees ensuring safe work practices are adhered to. Identify and assist in resolving field technical issues.Build strong communications and working relationships with Clients, contractors (drywallers, painters, carpenters, labourers, etc.) throughout the rebuild process.Provide site inspections, coach employees, ensure cost control and time frames remain within budget and project guidelines. Report changes in scope and coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance.Valid driver’s license is required.As the selected applicant, you will bring:Journeyman Carpentry or Apprentice level 4 status is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.Relevant knowledge and experience in the construction industry including equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, quality, safety, construction sequences and building codes.Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with Xactimate is an asset.Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and project coordination skills. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to meet project budgets and deadlines.Excellent verbal, written, and relationship building skills. Service oriented, motivated to help people/families through disaster to restoration.Strong analytical skills, decision making and attention to detail.Knowledgeable in, and committed to a high level of safety at all times in line with company policies, standards and legislation.Territory of work is southern Sask only; some overnight stay at times. Majority of work is in Regina.
