If you have this same drive, then let’s talk!About the Team:This is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing Real Estate Development and Construction team. As the Construction Project Manager (CPM), you will be working on internally managed projects, as well as a variety of partner led projects that encompass industrial, mixed use and multifamily and are primarily in the GVRD and Victoria areas, with some in the Okanagan. The CPM will report to the VP Development. They will also work closely with our internal Development & Construction teams and Value Add team.Purpose of the Role:Primary responsibilities include drawing reviews throughout the development phase of projects, review of CM/GC and subtrade award recommendations/contracts, oversight of construction progress, review of construction draws and consultant invoices and monitoring of the project proforma.This role is based in Vancouver at our downtown Real Estate office.Core Responsibilities:Review contract terms with General Contractor / Construction Manager.Act as liaison between Owner and GC/CM.Oversee partner led projects from construction start through occupancy and deficiency resolution.Manage information flow between Ownership, partners, the GC/CM, and other project stakeholders.Oversee and review/recommend the approval of Change Orders.Co-author project progress reports and reporting internally.Monitor the efforts and billing of third party vendors such as consultants, utilities, and other specialists.Oversee information flow to the Quantity Surveyor during construction for construction loan draws.Site visits and field reviews.Drawing coordination review & contract management.Required Skills & Qualifications:A minimum 3-5 years of related work experience.Experience coordinating or managing construction projects and consultant teams.Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in engineering or building technology.Ability to read and understand design drawings for all disciplines.A proficient understanding of construction trades and construction techniques.Knowledgeable in the area of construction safety and productivity, with ability to work safely in a construction environment.Understanding fundamentals of contracts and experience in managing contractors under the terms of a contract is an asset.Ability to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper management.Compensation & Benefits Package:This position comes with a base salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program.
