Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Installation Manager for a large automotive client in the Quebec area. This engineer is responsible for the development of the statement of requirements, and the management of the execution of process equipment installation in various Manufacturing Centers. This engineer will be responsible for both installation execution activities across all the ME Centers. Creativity and initiative are key characteristics of this position. An installation for all aspects of their work, including Safety, schedule, and cost.
Day-to-Day:
Manages construction safety
Estimates the value of work
Develops engineering designs and implements changes
Works with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods, and product improvements, and to support build programs
Coordinates and consults with departments outside engineering, such as manufacturing
Oversees equipment installation

5-10 years of construction management experience
Bilingual in both English and French
Understanding of Engineering Theory and Practices of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel
Ability to use AutoCAD
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Knowledge of Press Shops, Body Shop, General Assembly, Conveyor, and Global Propulsion systems
