We are currently seeking aConfiguration Management Specialistto join our Ottawa based team!What will you be doing?Leading the application of Configuration Management best practice usingMMIST’sPLM tools, revising and adapting processes and procedures asrequired.Act as thecentral pointof contact and assume responsibility for recording and securely storing all drawings, customer specifications, and digital dataat MMIST.Promoting and adapting 'best practice' engineering to support design and manufacturing.Creating andmaintainingmodels / drawings of proposed designs, either 2D or 3D, using CAD software.Ensuring that the quality processes and procedures defined inMMIST’sQuality Management System are met andmaintained.Maintain comprehensive logs for drawings, customer specifications, and digital data, ensuring the proper functioning of the respective storage systems.Managing design modifications tofacilitatemanufacturing operation or quality of product.Ensuring self-development under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering team.Contributing, beinginvolvedand actively supporting the continuous improvement process within everyfacetof the organization.What do we need from you?Previousexperience of working in engineering designand manufacturingconfiguration managementenvironment.Solid understanding of Configuration Management and CM2.Strong experience inmaintaininga well-organized CAD library, ensuring proper naming conventions and revision controls.Accreditation to CM2(CMII) Configuration Management is highly desirable.Compliance StatementThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and is subject toadditionalsecurity screening.
