The CMDB, Senior Specialistwillhaveresponsibilities in Interac’s enterpriseIT Asset Management (ITAM) practice, through the compliance to processes,procedures,and policies, aligned with ITIL and ISO/IEC compliance standards. This role will own and manage the integrity,confidentiality,and availability ofInterac’sCMDB/CSDM as it relates to hardware and software IT assets, reporting directly to the Leader, BISO & IT Compliance Management. You’llbe responsible for: An ITIL aligned and ISO/IEC 27001 compliant ITAM practice.Auditability of assets through the entire asset lifecycleIntegrity and 360-degree coverage ofInterac’sCMDB/CSDMRecording andmaintainingCIs (within scope) in the CMDBPerforming configuration audits and remediation andassistingthe Process Manager with audits and report generationEnsuring that the CMDB is updated upon successful change implementation (any manual updates, as most updates will be propagated from Discovery/BigFix)Meet with product and process stakeholders to gather necessary information for decision-making to map Services and Service offerings.Continuous improvement of the CMDB/CSDMMaintaining an indexable, searchable, and reportable CMDB/CSDMThe entire CMDB/CSDM lifecycle, including CI relationship mappings.Responsible for the discovery data in the global IT environment, including managing new subnets and v-centers and analyzing CI discovery issues.Troubleshoots reported Discovery errors and anomalies and apply solutions or workarounds to the known problems.Provides analysis andidentifiesthe root cause of Discovery and related CMDB issues.Develops clear and concise documentationregardingthe Discovery Process and Schedules updating as needed.Implement Discovery Changes needed to support CMDB changes.Participating and presenting in the monthly ITAM steering committeeBeing an active stakeholder inInterac’sadjacent ITIL practices; Incident, Problem, Change, Documentation, BISOBeing an active stakeholder inInterac’svendor, risk, and vulnerability management practicesYou bring: 5+years experiencein Information Technology, ideally with ServiceNow and CMDB/CSDM experience.ISO 19770/27001 certification an asset.ITIL 4 certification an asset.Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.Master's Degree in Technical, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Computer Engineering would be an asset.Experience with Asset and Configuration Management processes,proceduresand Service Management processes.Hands on experience with Asset / CMDB toolsExperienceidentifying, investigating, and resolving Discovery issues with working knowledge of UNIX server, Windows server, and network gear.In-depth knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, IP networks, subnetting, network devices, and virtualization environments configurations, i.e., Hyper-V, VMware.In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow reconciliation process andidentifyingthe frameworks related to ServiceNow mapping.In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow discovery patterns and scripts, especially PowerShell and JavaScript.Experience with Application Service Mapping and have completed the ServiceNow discovery fundamentals certification.Familiar with the Common Services Data Model.Interac requires employees to complete a background check that is completed by one of our service providers.
