Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire a Full Time Site Manager (Condominium) for a residential site in Downtown Toronto, Ontario.

Role Summary

As a Site manager you will be responsible for overseeing security work for a condominium, and will report directly to the Upper management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, verify for accuracy and finalize incident reports Investigate incidents and provide evidence such as footage, access control data and other relevant information
  • Provide finalized incident report with supporting evidence clearly labelled and organized for follow up by management
  • Activate access fobs and remotes, assign specific access levels
  • Supervise all security/concierge staff and liaise with Blackbird head office regarding staffing matters/concerns, performance related issues, etc. towards maintaining continuity of service at the expected level
  • Assume leadership and work closely with the guards towards building a strong team
  • Ensure Front Desks are kept organized and presentable.
  • Liaise with management on any required supplies, equipment repairs and general upkeep of the desk in a presentable condition
  • Ensure that guards are properly uniformed per their specific roles, presentable Ensure that tactical guards are familiar with their dual duties, i.e., tactical and general security/concierge back up
  • Ensure that guards maintain a resident-friendly environment and are skilled in conflict resolution and diverting difficult situations effectively away from high traffic areas/public exposure whenever possible
  • Ensure that guards are familiar with the work environment, know where the relevant documents (i.e., Post Orders, Memos, site info, valve charts, etc.) and other such relevant documents and items (radios, keys, office supplies, etc.) are kept
  • Ensure that all new guards are properly trained on desk duties and emergency procedures and that they know who to reach (i.e. supervisor) if unsure
  • Follow-up with incident reports, i.e., noise complaints, damage, etc. collecting and reviewing video footage to ensure that it corresponds with the incident report and summary of the findings/violation letter (i.e. evidence including date, time, location, etc.) for enforcement follow-up by management
  • Review video footage requested from TPS when a production/formal letter is received.
  • Provide complete footage to management corresponding with specifics, i.e. dates, times, cameras, indicated in the requests from TPS.
  • Liaise with TPS on investigations requiring live review of ongoing activity in the building.
  • Ensure that such investigations are conducted in the designated room in
  • Arrange fire drills per schedule provided by management.
  • Book security guards to attend fire drill.
  • Coordinate with management scheduling of the fire protection contractor
  • Ensure fulfilment of the Security/Concierge responsibilities per fire plan

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid Security License
  • Prior management experience required
  • Previous experience in condominium security is required
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be proficient in the English language, spoken, written, and via electronics
  • Willingness to attend meeting and trainings to improve skills
  • Knowledgeable on safety processes and procedures
  • UOF preferred

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

  • Condominium Security: 2 years (required)
  • Security: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Security License (required)
  • Use of Force Certification (preferred)
